Best kan? Like for our family of 5, kena amik 7 seaters. Rate dia dalam GBP130++. Ok la. Kalau guna Meet and Greet service by university pun, dah GBP145 for our family. Naik bas je. Why we all tak amik? Timing tak kena. We are going to take flight during day time. So, sampai sana dah malam. Kalau sampai our house (in which yang tak confirm2 lagi ni), probably dah dekat midnight. Meet and Greet pulak, last flight yang dia handle is 19:00. Last bus gerak from airport is at 20:00. Hmm...takpela. Allah SWT's planning is the best. So, tengok la cemane nanti. Will update again.

UK Visa application and approval in Malaysia (Tier 4)

Visa application

Untuk visa application, dah banyak dah blog yang cerita. Macam-macam but ultimately process dia sama je. So, if you need to know what is the process etc, boleh la check kat other blogs. Cuma I can share sikit which maybe tak sama dgn tahun-tahun lepas.

Gambar passport - tak perlu bawak gambar sendiri or kelam kabut pergi amik. Sebab memang dia akan suruh simpan je balik. They will capture your picture lepas ambil semua documentation.

Photocopy - ramai tanya kena bawak ke tak? Yes, bawa both. Photocopy and original. They will return back the original to you.

Old passport - kena bawa? Yes. Need to.

Financial evidence - Malaysia is a low risk country. Ramai yang tak aware pasal ni sebab ramai yang amik scholarship, just tunjuk financial affidavit shj. So let me tell you, tak perlu tunjuk proof sebab Malaysia is a low risk country. They may ask, but very unlikely.

Kalau ada soalan, boleh la call they all. But if you want to talk to the customer service, kena charge GBP1+ something like that la, per minute. And they need to credit card or debit card details before boleh proceed with your question. So, kalau ada byk questions, sediakan la one shot. Boleh tanya semua sekali.

After submission

Pastu lepas submit, macam we all - tak opt for sms service sbb mahal kot...RM8 per pax. Then, collect sendiri sebab dekat sgt dengan office. Courier kena charge jugak, tak perlu la. So, in between tu takde email takde apa pun. Kena tunggu jela between 15-17 working days, mcm apa dorang cakap hari tu.

Mula2 cuak jugak sbb email yang dia kasi agak general.

Haaaa tak ke cuak namanya? Like seriously what is the conclusion. Googled for info. Ada yg kata tu tandanya dah approved and ada yg kata it is denied. Waduh2...siapa je boleh kasi confirmation? Visa centre pulak dah tutup. Can't even call them as office hours have ended.

Next 1.5 hours, they called. Asking us to come and collect the docs. Yela, sebelah office je, takkan nak courier. And yes we did not even sign up for the sms arrangement. Terus time tu jugak kata nak collect the next day. Note: dia boleh collect between 3-5 pm je.

Esoknya (today) lari la kejap pergi collect. Luckily simpan resit hari tu properly. Tanya kat kaunter, means ni dah approve ke? Answer: we don't know. U need to open the package. Uish, berdebarnya time tu, Allah SWT shj yang tahu. Before that, Mr P memang dah berzikir and berdoa bebyk.

Diorang gunting the package, bukak, take the letter and Alhamdulillah...the application was successful. Ya rabbi, nak sujud syukur time tu jugak. Big deal ok???? Spent abt RM20k for the visa application fee and IHS for the whole family. And with the fact that, kita uruskan sendiri all the documentation and going to a foreign country. All these small matters count.

Dean's award

Syukur Alhamdulillah...

"Congratulations. We are delighted to inform you that you have been selected to receive a Dean's Award from Sheffield University Management School."

Another good news. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

Initially, I received an offer to do MBA at University of Edinburgh, Birmingham and Sheffield.

From University of Birmingham, I got Women's Scholarship but decided not to take it. Then, later, unexpectedly I received a scholarship from University of Sheffield pulak.

Final decision is to go to Sheffield with final amount payable to the university - yang lowest antara tiga-tiga ni. Usaha nak dapatkan scholarship from local, international, corporate etc dah bermacam-macam cara di cuba. Segala website dah di browse through, so please do not ask me why I didn't take up those scholarships. Dah, cuma Allah SWT's plan is the best. This one, takde bond and I'm very proud and grateful sebab compete dgn classmates from all over the world and I got it. And also, with the fact that universities in the UK memang jarang la yang kasi 100% scholarship, I am very thankful and grateful for this.

InsyaaAllah it will be a smooth journey. Alhamdulillah. Thanks for the doa from lovely familia specially from Mama, Papa, Mak and Mr P. Doa 4 orang ni sangat sangat sangat powerful. Alhamdulillah that I'm blessed with these great people in my life.

So, all in all, kena usaha dan usaha je utk cari scholarship/sponsorship. Kalau dpt full yang nak tanggung living allowances, fees etc drpd agensi-agensi kerajaan, KPT, swasta, etc, lebih baik lah. Tetapi, drpd takde pape, at least ada la jugak kan? Final tuition fee, with scholarship - sama la mcm belajar kat private college di Malaysia. InsyaaAllah, bukan hanya qualification yang dikejar, tetapi juga pengalaman for us and the kids. Ya Allah, permudahkanlah urusan kami.

Despite the difficulties and obstacles, we managed to. Syukur syukur Alhamdulillah. InsyaaAllah, on 13 September 2016, we will fly to Sheffield.
